White smile mourns DDS Ahmad Wehbe

Dentists of White Smile organisation mourn their colleague, DDS Ahmad Wehbe .

who have passed in an aerial attack committed by the Syrian regime air-forces and its allies at Al-Farabi Medical Complex in Eastern Ghouta, Kafr-Batna town. at 05/03/2018 with four air-to-ground missiles that led to the death of our colleague outside the center.

.In addition to the killing of 23 civilians from the vicinity of the center and dozens of injuries.

Dr Ahmad was the head of the dental clinics complex, and one of the very few providers of dental services to the besieged populations in Eastern Ghouta.

White Smile condemns these attacks on medical staff , which are considered to be war crimes; and emphasises on the following :

• In accordance with UNSC resolution 2401(2018) , we demand an immediate cessation of hostilities in Eastern Ghouta.

• The effective implementation of UNSC resolution 2286 (2016), which prohibits attacks against medical facilities/ staff/ aid workers during war. That the government makes every effort possible to prevent these attacks and holds perpetrators accountable for war crimes. 

• The immediate opening of a safe, impartial humanitarian corridor for NGOs to deliver essential aid to healthcare workers to Eastern Ghouta
